Waimairi wins awards

Well…we did it again. At the recent Tennis Canterbury regional awards Waimairi has been awarded the Club of the Year for 2019 and Megan Bruynel, our Club administrator was awarded the administrator of the year.
For Megan , this is due recognition for the tremendous amount of work she has put in to the club not only over the last season but over the 10 years she has been in the role.
At club level,I want to pay tribute to my coaching team for navigating their way through our major court reconstruction, operating over 4 different venues, condensing a 7 court programme into 3 courts at St Pauls and still managing to deliver a quality programme which saw our numbers increase from the previous season. We are lucky to have such a motivated and dedicated group of young coaches.
Let’s not forget also the success of our Premier teams, documented I know but still contributing to the feel good vibe that has been present around the club since works completion in September last year.
Finally, let’s not overlook the work of our volunteer committee who are continually looking for ways to improve the club experience of our members both Junior and Senior.
A fine effort all round I think you’ll agree.
