Waimairi Tennis Club is proud to support the installation of a community defibrillator, now available at its facility located at 49 Watford Street. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to the safety and wellbeing of its members, visitors, and the wider local community.

The newly installed automated external defibrillator (AED) provides immediate access to critical emergency equipment that can help save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest. Early access to a defibrillator significantly increases survival rates, making its presence in community spaces essential.
The defibrillator has been installed in a highly visible and accessible position:
Located on the fence, 5m from the driveway gate.
This placement ensures it can be quickly located and accessed when every second counts.
The unit is securely housed and can be accessed by calling emergency services. Instructions are clearly displayed on the device, guiding users through the process step-by-step, including CPR support and defibrillation if required.
This important addition has been made possible with funding support from the Aotearoa Gaming Trust, whose contribution has helped bring vital emergency infrastructure to the club.

By installing this defibrillator, Waimairi Tennis Club is helping create a safer environment not only for players and visitors but for anyone in the surrounding area. The club encourages the community to familiarise themselves with its location and to be aware of how to access it in an emergency.
